The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) will be hosting the public hearing for Korea-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and Korea-Georgia EPA at 2PM (KST) on March 9 in conference hall C1 of the Textile Center where various interested parties and industry experts will gather for topic presentations and discussions on the EPAs’ progress and prospects.
Details of the public hearing are also available at www.gwanbo.go.kr and www.fta.go.kr as well.
Mongolia and Georgia are strategically valuable to Korea, since Mongolia is a resource-rich partner in Asia and Georgia is a promising nation in Caucasus bridging Asia and Europe.
Through EPAs with Mongolia and Georgia, Korea will not only be able to expand exports of core items and improve market entrance conditions for domestic companies, but also establish a foundation for stronger comprehensive economic cooperation.
The Korean government will carry out domestic procedures for EPA negotiations with Mongolia and Georgia in accordance with the law on trade treaties.
