Korea’s green car exports hit record high in 2019 2020-02-24
Outbound shipments of eco-friendly cars, including electric vehicles (EVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), in 2019 jumped 31.7 percent to 258,669 vehicles from a year ago, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said in a press release issued on January 16.
Green car exports for all categories went up. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), EVs, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and FCEVs increased 8.9 percent, 97.3 percent, 61.1 percent, and 247.1 percent, respectively.
