Minister for Trade Dukgeun Ahn visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through March 15-16 and met with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei to follow up on the economic summit diplomacy outcomes between the two countries.

 

With UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, he discussed new trade cooperation agendas like bio, digital and continuing the contract for consigned management of Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital by Seoul National University Hospital, which is scheduled to end in August 2024. Trade Minister Ahn said he looks forward to continuing this collaboration as the project is a healthcare and medical cooperation symbol between the two countries.

 

With UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, he held talks on new cooperation outcomes in energy, infrastructure and investment areas between Korea and UAE. Korean companies interested in entering the UAE market, such as Samsung Engineering, Hyundai E&C and Doosan Enerbility, participated in the talks to voice opinions on the MOUs and follow-up process, forming a public-private “One Team” for creating outcomes from the economic summit diplomacy.
