Thirty-plus K-Design companies to participate in Paris' Maison&Objet 2023-09-07

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) announced on September 7 that it is operating a Design Korea booth at the trade fair "Maison&Objet Paris 2023" from September 7-11 in France to promote K-design overseas and support Korean designers make their debut in the global market.

Maison&Objet is the world’s largest trade fair for consumer goods and interior goods showcasing approximately 2,500 brands from 60 countries. This year, 33 Korean design firms will be exhibiting a total of 100 pieces that display the beauty of K-design. The “Design Korea” booth is to be located in Hall 2 of the Parc des Expositions Paris-Nord Villepinte in Paris, where MOTIE will work with Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Korea International Trade Association (KITA) to run a buyer matching program for participating companies.

Drawing tool brand designer "Goober", wrapping fabric brand creator "Rhetoric", eco-friendly biomaterial paperweight and tumbler designer "Lab M. Zero", and wagon baby-stroller “Pompolarr” designer "JMINTL Co." are some of the Korean companies participating in the trade fair.

A MOTIE official stated that “the Ministry plans to continue supporting world-class K-design companies participate in global trade fairs like Maison&Objet, Milan Furniture Fair, Germany’s consumer goods trade fair Ambiente and China’s Canton Fair to expand their overseas market presence.”
