Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Lee Chang-yang attended the roundtable held on February 22 at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul for the signing ceremony of MOU for carbon-intensive firms to join hands in a consortium for carbon neutral technology development.

 

Minister Lee attended the MOU signing for carbon neutral technology development aiming to achieve carbon neutral goals across carbon-intensive sectors by supporting technological development and spreading the outcomes across other sectors through a grand consortium of major companies of the four leading carbon-intensive industries: 1)chemicals, 2)steel, 3)cement, 4)semiconductors and displays. 

 

The roundtable was attended by relevant companies’ representatives, including POSCO Vice President Kim Hag-dong, LG Chemical Vice Chairman Shin Hak-cheol and Hyundai Steel President Ahn Dong-il.
